New from HM Chief Inspector of Prisons:

 

Journal article: The mental and physical health difficulties of children held within a British immigration detention center: a pilot study by Ann Lorek in Child Abuse and Neglect Vol 33 No 9.

 

International Migration Vol 48 No 1 contains

 

Making a contribution – new migrants and belonging in multi-ethnic Britain – last in the Runnymede Trust’s “Community Study” series. Based on the previous studies of eleven different communities and looking at the relationship between immigration policies and race equality.

 

Law and Policy

 

The UK Border Agency has published its formal response to its 2009 public consultation on the fees it charges for immigration and visa applications.
