As well as the easy reference section in the media pages, ICAR's website contains a huge amount of detailed information and research about refugees and asylum seekers that may be useful for journalists.

This includes a statistics section, sign-posting users to statistical data sources with links and commentary. If you're looking for background information on a specific topic or refugee group, ICAR's navigation guides provide an introductory level, in-depth synthesis of recent research findings, summary of relevant legislation and statistical data, and contact details for key organisations and experts. ICAR's factsheets provide similar information summarised into a more succinct format.

ICAR's mapping the UK project gives detailed information about asylum and refugee issues in specific towns and cities. Each section includes an interactive guide to the history of refugee settlement in that area, best available statistics, real life stories and extensive lists of organisations, experts, resources and projects.

ICAR's digests of relevant publications provide summaries of the main findings and recommendations of key reports and publications in a subject-searchable format. Our unique searchable resource directory records all available reports and grey literature pertaining to asylum and refugees in the UK. ICAR has also published a range of reports, handbooks, responses and one-off web and statistical products which might be of help to your work. View ICAR's publications.

The website can direct you to a collection of online case studies providing refugees' own narratives of their experiences as well as accounts from those working and living with them, in our real lives section. Finally, a links directory listing more than 350 other online resources that provide information about asylum seekers, refugees and related issues - indexed by geographical and subject coverage.
