Introduction
This research cluster looks broadly at issues arising from the beginning of asylum migration to the arrival of asylum seekers or Convention refugees in the UK and the measures and policies that are implemented to provide protection throughout this process.
More specifically, this incorporates work on the following topics:
- Migration routes: methods and patterns of asylum migration to the UK
- Protection policies: regional and international protection policies and systems
- UK asylum system: the operation of the UK asylum system
- UK resettlement policy: the operation of the UK resettlement policy
- Global context: impacted of global trends and cross-national comparison
