Secretary of State for the Home Department Alan Johnson has provided a breakdown in parliament of the number of children removed from the UK between 2004 and 2008.

 

Call for presentations: "Issues in Safeguarding Refugee Children" University of Central Lancashire, 15 April 2010. Keynote speakers: Heaven Crawley (Professor of International Migration, Swansea University); Ravi Kohli (Head of Applied Social Studies, University of Bedfordshire). Paper presentations or workshops are invited on any aspect of the topic. Contributions from research, policy and practice are all equally welcome. Outline or abstract to by 31 December 2009.

Also in parliament, Minister for Immigration Phil Woolas has provided a list of all the private firms used by UKBA and the services they manage. 

 

UKBA enforcement instructions and guidance on judicial review and injunctions (Chapter 60) - has been updated, with effect from 11 January 2010.
